Domestic abuse, also called intimate partner violence, can happen to anyone of any race, age, sexual orientation, religion, or gender. Relationships of all kinds, including marriage, cohabitation, or dating, can experience domestic abuse. This issue affects people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and education levels.
